Influenza A(H1N1) virus

The Ministry of Health in its press release yesterday listed 21 countries with positive Influenza A(H1N1) cases. Those countries are Mexico, USA, Austria, Canada, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Colombia, Denmark, El Salvador, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Holland, New Zealand, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom. Travel advisory note from the Ministry also mentioned that travel to those countries should be AVOIDED.

As safety measures, travel to related countries is suspended until further notice. If you need to travel on your own arrangement, please take note of the steps outlined in the Ministry of Health Travel Advisory attached.

In the early news today, it was reported that the man who was admitted to Hospital Umum Kuching yesterday was tested negative for the virus which means Malaysia is still clear from the virus to date.
